Learning to inline skate is difficult. Especially when someone tries it on their own. Without the proper steps and equipment, skating can become dangerous very quickly.

The Rollerskool team has spent the last 15 years tweaking, refining and perfecting the process of teaching how to learn to inline skate so that many of the hardships new comers endure can be simplified. Ensuring extra stepping stones are there so that new comers have a fun and rewarding new experience on inline skates

Many of the reasons why Rollerskool is a favorite among new skaters is because of the following reasons:

1. According to ICP standards

Many of the ICP standards that we apply in Rollerskool determine that each class is conducted in a safe, fun and structured manner to ensure learning is effective. This International standard is shared by many skate schools around the world making it one of the most acknowledged standard for skate schools world wide.

2. Leveling structure

The Rollerskool curriculum has 5 basic levels and 3 advanced levels. These levels are determined by the skaters skills and strength to execute these skills. The harder the skills, the more endurance, power and speed is need to master these skills. Every period Rollerskool has an evaluation for the skaters, checking their progress and rewarding them with certificates and level bands. This has proven effective for schools as progress reports are important to see how much the skaters have grown.

3. Sports Specific

The Rollerskool curriculum is geared towards helping skaters get introduced to a sports specific event. Roller Sports has 10 disciplines that are competed internationally annually and shares a similar resemblance to Winter Olympic sports. In Rollerskool we prepare students to try and compete in three disciplines; Inline speed skating, Hockey and Skate Cross. The goal is to help skaters reap the benefit of these sports that will carry on to their lives and hopefully be something they can use in the future.

These teaching parameters help Rollerskool develop effective and fun teaching methods in class. Making every class a fun and memorable one. We also abide by strict COVID protocols, so should there be a need to increase safety procedures in class, we will be one of the first to enforce them.

Rollerskool's teaching methods are guided by ICP standards, leveling structure and sports specific targets. Helping skaters reap the benefits of Roller Sports.
